Guided Study Hall Rules
Guided Study Hall Procedures
It is our goal to provide our students with the best possible opportunity to be academically successful. To that end, we have designed and will implement Guided Study Hall. We hope that this approach will provide students, who are having academic difficulty, a place where they will be able to focus on improving their grades. We also hope that it will help students take responsibility for their education, develop proper study skills, and set academic goals.
Eligibility for Guided Study Hall will be determined as follows:
Students who receive a grade of 69 or below in any course at the end of the quarter or at the 5-week interval will be assigned to a Guided Study Hall for each period they are scheduled for a study hall.
Students assigned to a Guided Study Hall will be required to remain in the Guided Study Hall until they no longer have a grade of 69 or below in any of their courses. This will be reviewed at the end of each 5-week interval.
Rules for the Guided Study Hall are as follows:
Students assigned to the Guided Study Hall will be required to bring work with them to the Guided Study Hall. Not bringing work will be viewed as insubordination and will result in a disciplinary referral.
Students will be quiet and working throughout the entire Guided Study Hall period.
If the student needs to use the Library they will be required to bring a signed pass from the teacher who has assigned the work for which the student needs to use the Library. On that pass will be specific information as to why the student needs to use the Library.
