Certified English Language Arts Educator 7 -12 –concentration in 10th grade ELA & Students with Disabilities – Grades 7-12


The Pavilion Middle/High School is seeking an English Language Arts Educator for the 2021-22 school year.  Pavilion Central School faculty and staff work in a small, rural, family-like setting that is located less than an hour away from either Rochester or Buffalo, which makes PCS not only A Great Place to Learn, but also A Great Place to Work!!


Job Description

·        Prepare and teach 10th grade ELA and any assigned High School ELA electives with lessons/units in accordance with NYS curriculum and standards

·        Provide special education service such as 15:1 ELA or integrated ELA/Consultant Teacher

·        Prepare and teach literacy rich ELA

·        Prepare and Instruct academic support for English Language Arts

·        Stay current in research-based instructional practices and pedagogy, NYS standards, assessment, curriculum and Response to Intervention practices

·        Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members

·        Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning

·        Promote Social Emotional Learning and restorative practices

·        Demonstrate a desire to advise extracurricular activities and/or serve as a coach for an athletic team



·        NYS Certification in 7 – 12 English Language Arts and Students with Disabilities Grades 7 – 12

·        Fingerprint Clearance
